Dj Mag's Solarstone Interview:
In their WMC issue this month, DJ Magazine caught up with Rich for a chat about all the current happenings… Solar-side! Of particular interest to the normally ‘trance-shy’ monthly? Well - naturally enough - the world’s first social network record label, solarSwarm, with Rich giving some previously unknown insights into its inner workings. Electronic Architecture Pt 2 (world exclusive scoop for them there!) was also high on the agenda as were Rich’s thoughts on the trance enduring popularity – “a lot of what is called trance music these days is just bloody pop music” being one sample quote! You can read DJ Mag’s interview with Rich by clicking here.

Electronic Architecture IDMA Nomination
Rich will be flying into Miami later this month for the 25th annual Winter Music Conference. As well as rolling up his (Don Johnson-style) sleeves to soak up a few rays he’ll also be bringing the Solar-sound to Ferry Corsten’s Once Upon A Night event at Karu & Y on the 26th. More likely than not he’ll also be donning a rented tux (picture that!) and dropping by the International Dance Music Awards on Thursday the 27th to see how Electronic Architecture contends in the prestigious Best Full Length Mix category. If you have the supreme good fortune to be in Miami throughout WMC week, he looks forward to seeing you!

| Gary Orvis 'Try To Find' Courtesy of Solaris International comes Russia's Gary Orvis’ with his standout freshman production ‘Try To Find’. Fully loaded with a deep ‘n’ proper progressive remix from Nick Rowland, it has already notched up a tasty 5/5 in January’s issue of DJ Mag, who say that it has a "strikingly original melodic-cum-euphoric top-line" and that "over repeat spins the driving undercurrent of the backing track comes increasingly to the fore". Nice! |
